McBOOKIES LEAGUE MATCH

12/01/2013

Arniston recorded a comfortable win against bottom of the league Harthill.

The game was played on a sunny but cold day with the pitch in good condition.

The visitors went on the attack from the first minute winning a foul 30 yards out.

This was cleared and a similar situation at the other end was also cleared.

The visiting forwards were causing trouble in the Harthill defence with No’s 9 Beattie and.

 10 Kataleza combining well.

From a corner Kataleza headed the ball back into the goal mouth for Beattie to finish the job again heading in from 2 yards.

TIME 15 MINUTES.

It was all Arnie from then on with the home side hanging on and Arniston looking for another before the interval.

This did come in the closing minute of the half.

Again a good combined move between Arnies No’s 10 and 9 saw the latter score his second from a low pass across the goal.

TIME 44 MINUTES.

Arniston continued the second half as they had the first and David Beattie got his second hat trick in 2 games scoring well from a cross delivered by No. 7 Fenwick.

Time 50 MINUTES.

Again David Beattie was in the thick of it weaving his way past two defenders only to be brought down by the home keeper.

The goalie was given a Red and altho the foul appeared to have happened well inside the box the ref. gave a foul on the 18 yard line. This was eventually cleared.

A slack home defence saw Arnie No 9 score his fourth when again he found himself clear 5 yards out and made no mistake.

Time 75 MINUTES

Arniston made a couple of subs and Ryan Sommerville No.14 completed the scoring .working the ball well and despite has first effort being blocked he was still able to force his second attempt home.

The home side got their consolation goal on full time.

A good cross from the right caught the visiting defence for once slack and the home left winger slipped in to score and make the final result 5 goals to 1 for Arniston.

A GOOD ALL ROUND DISBLAY AND ANOTHER THREE POINTER.

At home to Spartans next week.

See you there
