Jon, 3 teams go down from Premier league. Top 2 promoted to Super league. Winners of the North, Central and South leagues go into premier league.

Just back from a trip and saw the Forfar/Montrose score. Forfar should be ashamed of themselves. It happens season after season with these Angus clubs who don't want to travel too far the following season. If there's a chance of the Mid or West Lothian clubs going down, then they'll do everything to make sure it happens. Boot them out the league. Like Dram, I'm right behind the Star on Saturday and to be fair, I think both Arnie and Nitten supporters would rather have the local dery games each season.

Big game tonight against the Cuikie, as long as Forfar beat montrose tonight, then a draw would be a good result for Arnie and Cuikie.

The bottom three teams go down. Arniston have two home and three away games to play. Home Penicuik tomorrow night and Dundee North End on saturday. Away, Armadale,Rosyth and Musselburgh. Most of these teams are also struggling for points. But at a guess and it`s only a guess. I would think 25 or 26 points will be needed to survive. Why do we find ourselves in this situation almost every season? Anyway, come on lads, you can do it!!

Arnie are as safe as Aiden McGeady sitting in the Broomloan Road Stand. Montrose will pick up more points and Arnie won't get enough to overhaul Dundonald. We're doooooooomed.

Can someone explain how the relegation works? Notice Arniston look safe as 3 teams below them, so how many go down or is it split into regions (Lothian, Fife etc).

Cheers

In answer to To From Afar.
Altho I am not privi to much info the latest on moving is there will be another meeting with the local authorities on 29th April. The previous meeting went well so we expect more progress will be made. The favoured Site seems to be down the old Engine Road where the Emily Pit offices were. Altho I say `The Favoured Site`.Not all supporters are in agreement but we will have to wait and see the outcome.

Many thanks to Arniston Rangers for the unbiased match report of Livingston United game. This is greatly appreciated and good to see that match reports are not seen through club coloured eyes(personally i thought we should have won my glasses black/white stripes). All at Livingston Utd F.C thank Arniston Rangers for the hospitality pre match(the president even brought out the Jaffa Cakes )half time and after the game, also for making us very welcome on arrivaland throughout. I am sure i speak on all at L.U.F.C by wishing you good luck/fortune and hope you retain your place in the Premier League(thats if you want to).Best wishes for rest of the season David McLachlan L.U.F.C

The young lads were very well behaved on Sat. One even retrieved one of the match balls which had been kicked way over the shed.True, there was small amounts of drink being consumed but no more than what the older supporters pass round in their hip flasks. The same drinks rule must apply to all not just the youngsters including myself.

To young Arnie choir you young lads can come along and have a bit of fun and cheer on our team, Unfortunatley you are another on of the poor Gorbridge statistics were you have came along full of alcohol before the game then drank more and made a complete fool of yourself.
If you are not prepared to come along and cheer on the team sober then don't come at all.
It makes me wonder were you got the alcohol in the first place when is our local police goin to clamp down an the shops in gorebridge that sell it in the first place.

Arniston defence was very poor on Saturday the Nitten wide men Forbes and Dunbar made us look so mediocar and if the Star forwards took their chances the score line could have doubled.
The Nitten defence were far superior and their midfield and wide men ran the show.
Nitten deserved their win on Saturday and look like a team that is ready for a challenge on the super league wether we like to admit it or not. [ Just accept it ]

Honestly?? I think the contempt in which the Arnie committee hold their own supporters regarding questions about the plans for the club/ground says everything. If they aren't interested in sharing information about the future and getting 'buy-in', how can you possibly expect the fans to give a toss. There is an air of resignation about the club, which has been around for the last 3 or 4 years now, and not even a humping by Nitten will create any debate or interesting conversation on here, as it's almost expected now. If Arnie do go down, which I suggest is more than likely given Penicuik's annual survival habits and of course intervention from the Tayside mafia, I think it would be time to call it a day as you would with anything else that is no longer fit for purpose.
Arniston Rangers do not necessarily agree with the comments expressed above

Comment No. 6582 Posted on 18/03/2008 by Concerned
Have the Arni supporters given up on the club - you are the ones voting in the committee - they are the ones willing to work to keep the club in a position suitabe to the income. Looking at "Voice of Football" which was a small source of income not that long ago - 83 names @ 50p or 1 per week = a lot more than just sitting there doing nothing. I know there are good committee members but its time others review their position. The South division looms for the not so well off teams - don't join them.
