PROBLEMS SIGNING IN AS A MEMBER ?

This problem is most often caused when either people upgrade internet explorer to V6 or in version 6 they adjust their privacy settings.  Internet Explorer v6 introduced privacy settings for the first time.

Privacy settings are a method of controlling what a website can do on your PC.  When you log into the Arniston website, the site needs to know that you are logged in when you move from page to page.  It therefore stores a very small file on your machine which simply indicates to the site that you are logged in.  The file is then deleted when you log out or after a period of time.

If you click on Tools at the top of the IE window then select internet options.  Click on the Tab named Privacy.  You then have 2 options you can reduce the privacy level on your machine by sliding the slider down (not recommended as this would allow less savoury sites to store other info on your PC), or you can add the Arniston site to a list of sites you want to able to store these files on your PC.

To do this click on the edit button near the bottom of the options window.  In the box headed “Address of Web site” enter the following

http://www.ultrasoft.hostinguk.com

Then click on the ALLOW button.

You should then be able to log in as normal.
