Season 1962-1963
Arniston started the season badly, losing 4 - 1 to Newtongrange Star, at Arniston, 4 - 0 to Dunbar United at Dunbar, 4 - 0 to Dalkeith Thistle at Dalkeith, all games in the league. Arniston's form continued to be shaky, winning in the East of Scotland Cup against Dunbar United 3 - 0 at Dunbar, to be followed by a 3 - 0 defeat by Preston Athletic in the league and a defeat in the Brown Cup by Penicuik Athletic. Season again progressed with a win in the Scottish Junior Cup against Aberdeen Parkvale. December saw Arniston take their exit from the National trophy losing by 2 - 1 to Whitburn Juniors. March saw the resumption of football, after a spate of bad weather, and Arniston for the rest of the season flattered to deceive, and were quite happy to acquire a fair quota of wins to defeats. Only thing of note was a narrow defeat by Armadale Thistle in the St. Michael Cup, semi-final. May 10 1962 Arniston Rangers v Armadale Thistle East of Scotland Cup, Final
