Season 1929-1930

Season again started badly for Arniston, losing 5 - 2 to Ormiston Primrose, and 5 - 3 to Musselburgh Bruntonians, both in the league. Arniston didn't improve losing six of the next eight games, only wins, a 4 - 3 victory over Tranent Juniors, and a 6 - 1 win over Dunbar United.

Defeats, well the bad ones were, a 7 - 1 defeat in the Musselburgh Cup by Linlithgow Rose, a 6 - 1 defeat by Stoneyburn Juniors in the League, and a 4 - 3 defeat by Dalkeith Thistle after Arniston were leading 2 - 1 at half-time. There were not many good times about the season, but one could have been the great 3 - 1 win achieved at Tranent in the Scottish Junior Cup. November saw the Arniston men exit from the 'Scottish' losing 2 - 0 at Methil to Wellesley, and virtually the end of the season hopes for glory.

Arniston were to complete the season not winning another game and in July a 'sombre' announcement was that Arniston Rangers were disbanding due to a number of circumstances, none actually mentioned.
