Season 1919-1920

After the traumas of the First World War, the newly formed Arniston Rangers Committee must have had great hopes for the coming season. They had fourteen signatures on their books, with such names as Watty Taylor, a junior internationalist, Ross, Bonnyrigg, McKenzie, Newtongrange, McDiarmid, Strang and Miller, a trio from an R.E. battalion (that's scouting for you) follows Gunners, Marshall, Noble, ex Arniston players. Juveniles fixed up, Clark, Crichton Wilson and Davidson.

Season started for Arniston winning 2 - 1 at Ramsay Park, Loanhead to the local 'Mayflower'. Arniston suffered a defeat the following week, losing narrowly 1 - 0 to Penicuik Juniors at Penicuik. Arniston scored their first win of the season in October beating Newtongrange Star 1 - 0 in the East of Scotland Cup, and went on to have an ordinary season. Highlight of the season was a 9 goals to 2 win over Penicuik Juniors.
