Season 1904 - 05

Arniston were still a good side, but their best performances seem to be concentrated in the cup, with good performance in the Scottish Junior Cup, a 4 - 1 win over Kelty Rangers, a 6 - 1 win over Inverkeithing Thistle, a 3 - 1 over Leven Victoria at Leven. Arniston were to do even better in the next round beating the Glasgow "cracks" Parkhead in the 6th round at Arniston and an entry into the semi-final of the Scottish Junior Cup followed. That alas was to be their "lot", as they were defeated. (No actual result in).

Consolation was just around the corner for the Arniston men, with the winning of the Musselburgh Cup, beating Newtongrange Star 1 - 0 in the final. Arniston team that day in April, 1905:- Kinghorn (Capt.), Wood, Neilson, Chatham, Winning, McLeod, Strachan, Peacock, Deans, Inrigg and McDonald. Arniston scorer, McDonald.

More success followed for Arniston, with the winning of the Marshall Cup, after a resounding 3 - 0 win over Newtongrange Star in the semi-final. (Final team opponent for Arniston not listed). To complete a very good season, Arniston won the League in a play-off against Leith Ivanhoe by 3 - 1 in a match that was played at the start of season 1905/1906.
